Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Am I eligible to enrol on your training? Not sure if my experience counts.

Yes! Anyone is eligible to enrol on our training. Unlike clinical or medical roles, we do not require you to have prior degrees or qualifications - only a readiness to learn and understand your own ADHD or if you are an ally to be open to learning more from a lived experience perspective.

Are your trainings or certifications accredited with anyone?

Yes, we fully believe is aligning ourselves with a professional body and having accountability for our training experiences. This is why we are ICF (International Coach Federation) accredited at their CCE level. You can find out more about this on our page here. We are the only UK and New Zealand based ADHD coach training provider to be ICF accredited - and are very proud to be able to offer this.

If I want to be ICF credentialed is that the same as the certification I get from Gold Mind?

No, to be an ICF credentialed coach, you will need to apply directly to the ICF for this and if you choose to train with us you will need to do this via the ICF’s Portfolio Path. More details on this can be found here.

Do you give any support to new qualified coaches in finding clients?

Yes! All our graduates get to feature on our Gold Mind Academy ADHD Coach directory. This is only for those who have trained with us. The directory it a great place to shout about who you are as a coach and what you offer. Beyond this, you will need to find clients yourself. We do not offer a client/coach matching service. However many coaches find clients by volunteering at ADHD charities like ADHD UK or ADHD NZ. If you are based in other countries, try reaching out to the charities in your respective countries. There are also online coach directories, you will need to research the ones that operate in your area of the globe.

What would I be able to earn as an ADHD coach?

There is quite a range of fees that ADHD coaches in the UK charge - and this tends to reflect the type of clients they work with. As a rough guide - it can range from £85 up to over £250. There are some ADHD coaches who are also Executive coaches and work with corporates - they often charge in the region of £300-£500+ p/session. A standard rate for UK based ADHD coaches who have clients paying for their coaching sessions via the DWPs Access to Work scheme will often charge between £100 to £200 p/session. There is quite a range depending on the coach, their experience, their clients needs and who's paying - so the average fees quoted here are a ballpark figures.

Do you offer funding options or bursaries?

Yes, you can either pay for your course fees in full or pay via spit payments over a monthly basis. We are in the process of offer a bursary scheme for a limited number of students - this will be announced soon!

How long does your training take to complete?

It depends on the certification route you choose, but our Certificate in ADHD-Informed Coaching is 65hrs of training and on average (depending on the specific timings of your modules chosen) takes between 6-8months. Our Certificate in ADHD-Specialist Coaching takes roughly a year to complete.
